Traci

Registered Dental Hygienist

I have always wanted to be a dental hygienist, since I was very young. My dad always stressed oral hygiene so I think that is what got me so interested in the field at a young age. I graduated from Mott Community College in 1999 with a degree in Applied Science and began working with Dr. Abbott in 2008. I absolutely love my job and love taking care of people! It is very rewarding to see patients improve their health by improving their oral hygiene.

I have been with my husband, Mark, for 24 years. We have three beautiful kids, Mercedes, Tylor, and Lexi. Two are in college and one in high school. I have two dogs, a German Shepard named Diesel and a Pomeranian named Zoey. I am also a huge Michigan football fan! I love going to all the home football games in Ann Arbor and even some away games, too. While that’s a lot of fun, spending time with family is the number-one thing in my life.

Chris

Administrative Assistant

My job is to welcome patients into our office and make them feel at home from the moment they walk through the door. I facilitate their dental care by scheduling appointments, making treatment plans, and answering any questions our patients may have. I love the daily interactions I have with our patients and try my best to create a positive environment. My team helps a lot in that respect; we get along great and always have fun in the office!

I have three children and three grandchildren. In my free time, I love spending time with the grandkids. They make me feel like a kid again! I also volunteer for Erica’s Kids, which is an organization that helps underprivileged kids, and enjoy gardening and going up north.

Michelle

Dental Assistant

I work side by side with Dr. Abbott, making sure each patient is comfortable during their procedure. I also take X-rays and impressions, pour models for crowns, dentures, partials, implants, and ClearCorrect™, and fabricate whitening trays. With such a variety of tasks, each day is exciting, challenging, and fun. Dr. Abbott is very caring and gentle, and works hard to give every patient a positive dental experience.  The rest of our team also works together to provide that same positive experience. I feel so fortunate to have spent my entire career so far with this office, and can’t imagine working anywhere better!

I was born and raised in Montrose so I know many of our patients or their families personally and get the pleasure of keeping in touch with many people I may not otherwise see.  I now live in New Lothrup with my husband, Dennis, and our dog, Zeta. I have been blessed with one son, one daughter-in-law, two daughters, and one step-daughter. When I'm not working I enjoy taking walks with our dog, sewing, and spending time with friends.

Nancy

Registered Dental Hygienist

I began working in dentistry in high school as an assistant and attended the University of Michigan for my Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. I graduated in 1996 and began working in the practice in 2007. I love the dental field and thoroughly enjoy my job here. I try to keep a positive, upbeat attitude, whether I’m doing a routine cleaning a polish or reviewing home care and nutrition. My patients are great people, and I enjoy getting to know a little more about them every time they come in.

I’ve been happily married to a wonderful guy for 13 years. I have two great daughters who bring me a lot of joy. I have a busy lifestyle and try to stay active with golf, swimming, gardening, and walking my dog.

Sara

Financial Coordinator and Registered Dental Assistant

I went to dental assisting school at Coastal Carolina in North Carolina.  I received my dental assisting diploma in May of 2005. I took some time off to have my children and have enjoyed working in the dental field for over 9 years now. As the financial coordinator, I assist and guide patients with their insurance and financial arrangements. I also create an individualized treatment plans for each patient, so they are aware of their dental needs in advance.

Jennifer

Administrative Assistant

I am very excited to be a part of Dr. Abbott's dental team.  I began working at dental offices while in high school and continued to be a chairside assistant for 15+ years.  I was fortunate enough to take time off to be a stay at home mom to my son.  I re-entered the workforce 3 years ago and I couldn't be happier.  I love working at the front desk, greeting our patients, answering phones and making appointments.  Every day is a chance to help patients feel great about their smile.

I've been happily married for over 20 years and blessed with one son.  We enjoy spending time with our new rescue dog, boating and going up north.
